My name is Harper and I would like to tell you more about myself. Three things that represent who I am are a soccer ball, shells and a cross.
For my first object I brought a soccer ball. Soccer is one of the things that is very important to me because it has been my favorite thing to do since I was very young. Over the years of playing soccer I have formed relationships with the people on my team and my coaches. Some people have come and gone but the friendships I have made with these people will last forever. I feel like I am at my best when there is a soccer ball at my feet. All of the time that I have put into soccer has made me into the person I am today. It has made me push myself to do better and work harder for the things I love. Soccer will always have a place in my heart no matter if I keep playing or not.
The next object that is important to me are shells from the beach. These are important to me because the beach is like my second home. When I am at the beach I feel relaxed and calm, I stop worrying about the things at home. The beach is an escape for me. It is an escape from everyone at home and all of the problems at home. My favorite thing is feeling of the sand under my feet and hearing the waves crash, one after another. Every year I look forward to the time when I get to go to the beach, it is nice to leave the cold winter here in Nebraska and go to the warm tropics. When I’m not at the beach that’s the only place I want to be. After going through a stressful time it is nice to go to the beach and forget about everything for two weeks and just relax. When you are just laying in the ocean and on the beach you forget about everything and that’s my favorite part about it.
My third object is a cross, this object is very important to me because I have built my life around my faith. They way that I act is based off of the faith that I have and my beliefs. The person that you know will always be there for you is God. He will be there through the good and the bad times. He may not always give you the answer that you want but he always gives you what you need. I have grown up going to church and having many relationships with the people at my church and I know that if I ever need anything they will be there for me. If I didn’t have the faith that I have today than I would be a totally different person. God helps me keep on the right path to do my best in life and do the best things for my future.
